Louet's GEMS "Pearl" fingering weight dyeing hank of machine washable 100% merino wool. Great to work with and just sucks up the dye (and looks just like Koigu's KPPPM yarn). The half pound dyeing skein contains approximately 875 yards, enough for two pairs of socks, or lots of lace.

Louet's GEMS "Opal" sport weight 3 ply machine washable 100% merino wool is soft, durable, and loves to play in the dyebath.
Approximately 520 yards per 8 oz. dye hank. A high angle of ply makes this a bouncy, excellent yarn for relatively qiuick-knitting socks.

Louet's "Montagu" is a miniloop boucl of mohair, silk, and nylon for binder.
The loops are delicately sized and it has a lovely sheen and softness, natural and after dyeing.
At 2125 yards per pound, the half pound dyeing skein has approximately 1,062.5 yards.

Louet's "Kid Mohair" is a very fine 70% kid mohair, 30% nylon brushed mohair yarn with a stunning 4,500 yards per pound. The 8 oz. dyeing hanks will have roughly 2,250 yards. A lot of fun to dye, but take care to tie twice as many figure 8 at various points than you usually do...to untangle this would not be fun for even the most neutotic knot-loving detangler.
